A BNZ survey warns that Cashmere United could go higher than many
commentators are expecting.
Mr Gallagher, a notable football commentator and Econ undergrad stated in the
NBR this morning that "capacity pressures such as the tight labour training have
not fully flowed through to points yet. The full impact of sexy, skilled and
crude power has also not yet been felt because of the high exchange rate".
Cashmere United has recovered from their embarrassing weekend defeat and is
looking to take full points from the visit to the beautiful Hagley Park on
Saturday. "Its a truly beautiful ground" said star striker Geordie Dann.
The starting line-up should be interesting but expect many changes to it,
including the addition of second top goal scorer Geordie Dann. When asked about
his thoughts on Saturdays game Geordie replied, "good".
Deep words there from a deep man. 3-1 my guess in a hard fought game that is won
mentally by Cashmere.
Cashmere United LB Lee Gallagher has called for calm amongst the Cashmere United
squad and pleads that the team keeps their heads up, in order to finish the
season strong.
Lee, who hasn't been linked with a move to Newcastle United, limped off on
Saturday after suffering damage to his knee, but should return fine on Saturday
after undergoing a fitness test earlier this morning.
The return of Josh Gardener to the starting line-up may be looked at also, as he
would be keen to play at LM to link up with the talented Lee Gallagher,
Captain Brendan Kircher had this to say about the proposed changes, "Josh is a
good player, yea he is a strong player and I love him".
Cashmere would love to see some support down at Hagley Park on Saturday, kick
off 12 noon.
Meanwhile from a management perspective.
Cashmere United manager Mark Anderson is on his final warning and has had half
his wages cut after his disrespectful attitude shown towards the referee in
Saturdays shock loss to St Bedes. Mark Anderson was seen attempting to steal the
referee's bag, and when caught out he began to abuse the referee and was sent
from the technical area for dissent.
In an earlier interview Mark released this statement, "I'm deeply sorry for my
actions and I am sure it will not happen again, and I am sorry to all those it
affected".
To make matters worse Mark Anderson has now been grounded by his mum for two
weeks.
It is unlikely he will be seen at this Saturday's game against Christ College. |
