Cashmere Super Youth Match Report Christ College’s Moment of Glory.

10 minutes of the second half was all Christ's College needed to take two points form us and secure a draw. Cashmere Super Youth were up 2-0 at half time playing in the mud at Somerfield Park on Saturday. Our transition from defence to attack down our left flank was exceptional at times and led to both goals, the first from Lee Gallagher and the second from goal hungry Steve McRae. Christ’s College came to the second half with nothing to lose and the rah rah college supporters did well to encourage their team. College scored two good goals after running through our changed defensive line up. The second half of the second half was all Cashmere United as we put on pressure looking for that third goal. The mud and conditions defeated us and the final score was 2-2. We were disappointed in the result. In the changing shed after the match it felt like a loss. Strong games were played by Evan Jones and Sam Mowat.
