Cashmere Super Youth Outclass St Bedes Following Wednesday Nights loss to Shirley Boys at English Park, the game against St Bedes was important for us to get back to winning ways. Cashmere United started slow with a number of new combinations being played and an inability to put 3 passes together. Our defensive pattern held us together until we woke up and took control of the midfield. First half goals to Geordie and Steve were added to by Nathan and Steve after halftime as we took out the game 6-0. We played well in the middle of the match but faded towards the end as it became easier and the team lost their discipline. It was pleasing that the scoring was shared by our three strikers

This week we have Christs College at Somerfield, kick off 12.30. This is another game we have to win if we want to make the top 4 playoffs.

Super Youth go down to a strong St Andrews, 3-0 Our defence was tested for the first time this season by a strong and capable St.Andrews attack. STAC scored three goals in the first half due to defensive errors and were lucky not to have been four up. Sean McGowan’s penalty saves (they took it again after Sean saved the first attempt) had to be the highlight of the game albeit Steve McCrae had another good game as did Sam Mowatt in defence. To our favour, the second half score was 0-0. More organisation and spectator support and we will do better.

Next game Vs. Shirley Boys High School, Wednesday 25th May 2005, English Park 6.30 Kick off spectators welcome.

Chillean Soccer Player I am the Regional Co-ordinator for EF Foundation. We are an international student exchange programme. We are a non-profit organisation and exist through volunteers. At the end of July we have a student arriving for five months from Chile. He loves football and plays competitively, he is an outgoing and very intelligent 17 year old boy. We are looking for a soccer focused family who would be able to put Tomas up for five months. Although our host families are volunteer, we do however pay $200 per month to help with costs, and it is a great way for us to also learn about another culture. Please can you put us in touch with anyone who may be interested in having Tomas join their family, or do you have a contact that I can forward this request on to. Thank you and good luck for the rest of the season. Dee click here to email me
