Special General Meeting

Hi to all Junior Section Members,

We realise that the football season has now finished but you will be aware that we have been discussing an important proposal concerning the future of the Club involving setting up a new Club entity in conjunction with Ferrymead Bays. Attached is a summary of the proposal and a copy of the powerpoint presentation given at the recent information evening is

available in the members area of the Club's website at

www.cashmerefootball.co.nz/members/.

We consider that this proposal has the potential to offer great benefits to our Junior players as it will enable us to make better provision for player development (through all grades in the game) and to more efficiently manage the administrative aspects of the Club.

It is very important that you (as a junior member 17 years or over or as a parent or guardian of a Junior member under 17) have your say on this proposal and on the future of the Club as it will ultimately affect your or your children's future in the game. Please make sure you attend the meeting on Thursday 16 October, 7.30pm at the Cashmere Club. The quorum for the meeting is 20 and any vote will be decided by majority. If you can't attend the meeting, you are entitled to vote by proxy by completing and signing the attached proxy form and sending it to PO Box 28-048 Beckenham (or contact us to arrange another method). Note that no-one can act as proxy for more than one member and all proxy forms must be with the Treasurer by 7.30pm on Wednesday 15th October (24 hours before the meeting).

This is your chance to have a say about the future of Cashmere Wanderers and of football in our area. It might not be quite as important as the General Election but your vote still counts!
