End Of Season Gear Return
The cost of replacing gear each year is a large expense to the club and is a consideration when setting the next season's playing subs. Please... help us to keep our subs down.

To assist the committee, please hand your Club strip (playing tops), Club jacket, Coach jacket and any other Club gear to your coach on or by 29th August, following the final game. (we suggest you bring another top to change into.) We would rather have gear returned dirty, than not at all.

This means that we need to ask a big favour of someone in each team to do a "team gear wash" - thank you for any assistance here.

Coaches/Team Managers: Team Gear & Bags can be dropped off at the Cashmere Club on Saturday 12th September between 10am – 12midday.
Please could you check that all gear allocated is present and provide the names of any players who have not returned gear. Please ensure your bag is clearly labelled with your team name so this can be checked off.
If this is not convenient and you wish to arrange another time please contact Fed Simpson.

Team Photos
The team photos that were taken in July will be handed out at the prize-giving. Late orders for photos can still be made until the end of August, so if you missed out on a photo and really want one please contact Cathy Gabites via email email

Return of Trophies
These are Club and Mainland trophies that were awarded to any individual or team at last years prize-giving. These need to be returned to Barbara Turner as soon as possible so we can get engraving done for this year. Please contact Barbara via email

Coaches and Managers Evening
Thursday 10th September at Elevate bar & Restaurant at 7.30pm. This is an opportunity for you to meet other coaches, talk about the season and for the club to say thank you for your efforts over the season.

Report from Fred Simpson, Player Development Manager
As the season draws to a conclusion it is good to be able to reflect on some excellent performances and results across the Junior section of the club.

Our in house programme continues to flourish and wasn’t it good to have the use of such a great indoor facility when the wet weather struck this year? I am most impressed with the caliber of our 9th grade players who next year will be stepping up into the big world of Mainland competitions. They will have a tough act to follow as we did exceptionally well in the 10th grades this season.

All of our Mainland 1st and 2nd division teams have performed well with a number of top three places and some simply superb efforts in the lower divisions. A very special mention to the 12th and 10th grades where we have had some outstanding results across many divisions. Well done one and all.

To top this off we have a great number of boys and girls currently trialing for Canterbury zonal and representative teams with the 12th grade boys already contributing 8 players to Canterbury teams. Please check our website over the next few weeks and we will update you on how they all progress. Good luck to you all.

Last summer we were able to run a number of after school programs during term 4 and term 1, these will again feature this year. It is my belief that participation in these programs gave many of our players the edge so evident this year and will continue to contribute to our success as a club. Details will be on the website shortly.

Holiday Programmes will be available during the next break and again in the New Year. Again please check the site for information and registration. We always make sure they are fun, safe and a learning experience.

So finally keep a close watch on the Cashmere Wanderers web site at http://www.cashmerefootball.co.nz for off season opportunities. Have fun in the sun whilst improving you skill base for next season. What could be better?
